We caught up with Helen Dobson, Owner and Director at Hot Tub Village about how swim spa’s have increased in popularity over the last couple of years. Find out what he had to say right here…
1) Tell us a bit about yourself

2) Swim spa’s are increasing in popularity; why do you think that is?
Swim spa’s are becoming more popular as customers are starting to understand what a swim spa is and how it can provide both the benefits of a hot tub and a swimming pool. They are not as large as traditional swimming pools but are able to provide a way to continuously swim against strong water jets. A swim spa makes it possible for a person to get all the benefits of swimming, without ever reaching the end of a pool and turning around.
3) What are your customers looking for when they enquire about a swim spa?
Customers that have purchased a swim spa from us have done so for varying reasons which include, requirement for a swimming pool without the costs and building works involved, a swim trainer for keen swimmers looking to swim most days, a family pool with the added benefits of the powerful smooth swim jets.
4) If you had to choose, which swim spa model is your favourite and why?
Our favourite SwimLife swim spa model is the Swim Expert 17ft. This provides a really strong swim for the swimmer and plenty of room for families as a fun pool.
5) What would you say are the added benefits of a swim spa over a traditional swimming pool?
We would say the main benefits of a swim spa over a traditional pool are the ease of installation, the cost savings, the endless pool advantage of the swim jets, low maintenance and offering an all year-round swim.
6) Finally, if you could offer some advice to a customer looking to buy their first swim spa, what would it be?
Firstly, we would ask their reasons for looking to purchase a swim spa – exercise, family pool etc. Then we would ask if they had a vision of where they would like to place it and offer them a no obligation site visit to discuss this and then advise on access and delivery. We would give advice on the different models and sizes and the prices and finance options available.
