Jet Orientation

Wellness  /  11 February 2016

We’ve previously analysed the importance of water temperature during a hydromassage, but other elements like jet orientation are also crucial to help you enjoy the best moment of the day.

We define a proper hydromassage as an “external crenotherapy” which puts the body into contact with the substance, in this case water, that is used for the therapy. “External crenotherapy” is carried out with special jets of water issued at defined pressures, the jets are orientated in a centripetal direction to promote the circulation of blood. The therapy usually lasts around fifteen minutes, after which you should rest for another fifteen minutes. This centrality of jets of water explains why their orientation is one of the basics of hydromassage according to Jacuzzi.

Hydromassage tubs, together with hot tubs, are designed with particular attention as far as jet positioning is concerned, and Jacuzzi have studied this specifically together with the internal ergonomics of the body to optimise the effects of the hydrotherapeutic action.
