Performance  /  01 December 2016

The 3rd stage of the Ski World Cup is approaching and it will take place in Killington, located in Vermont, New England: on November 26th and 27th, we will see again the girls of technical disciplines challenging each other.

After the inaugural races in Sölden and Levi, Killington is ready to welcome the fastest women on the slopes. During the Thanksgiving weekend, Killington will host two women’s competitions: the Giant Slalom on November 26th and the Slalom the next day.

The races in Killington are confirmed and they will take place regularly thanks to an artificial snow system that has delivered perfect conditions, climbing over the problems caused by the unexpected heat of these days. Therefore, the ski circus will return to New England after 25 years of absence. The latest Ski World Cup, in fact, was in 1991 when the finals were played in Waterville Valley.

The competitions will take place at the Superstar track in the Killington Resort among the Green Mountains, the largest ski area in the eastern United States. The Killington Resort, in fact, is a sporting destination which extends into the wooded territory of Central Vermont.

Killington boasts different terrains for winter sports, scattered throughout six mountain peaks, equipped with a wide ski lift and a powerful snowmaking system.

Even when the snow has run loose, Killington never ceases to amaze: with golf courses, mountain biking and hiking trails, amusement centres provided with lots of activities, this location never disappoints the expectations of athletes and enthusiast tourists.
